In individual therapy, healing occurs within the therapeutic relationship.

In group therapy, there are multiple opportunities to practice behavioral changes, to normalize emotions perceived as “inadequate” or “wrong.”

In a group whose goal is emotional growth and healing, members benefit from both individual work and the experience of other participants, leading to increased effectiveness in the group process.
